It really is run down but then it’s over 100 years old. Lack of good insulation was the biggest problem I had with it. But when floors started warping and cracks started showing up in walls after that boom, I was ready to get out.

There are a few things of decent value still in there but most IS junk. If the house collapses, no worry from us. I haven’t been over there to deal with the stuff but a couple of times since we moved out. I just don’t care any more.

Sometimes “things” just aren’t worth the time it would take to dig through them for anything of value. It’s only valuable if you want it to be anyway.

I know you are loving the new digs. I hope that house continues to be a source of comfort and home to you and yours.
