Poll: Americans Don’t Like Picking Supreme Court Justices By Race And Gender
USSA News ^ | January 28, 2022

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer announced his retirement this week, setting off a flurry of rumors around a potential replacement. However, voters now say they are not in favor of President Joe Biden’s plan to choose a nominee based on race and gender.

Biden promised multiple times on the campaign trail to nominate a black woman to the high court.

Polling from Rasmussen found that idea does not have as much support as Biden might think. Only 26% of those surveyed say basing Supreme Court picks on race and gender is “a good idea.” In fact, only 16% of independents say it is a good idea, compared to 47% of Democrats and 11% of Republicans.

A majority of voters expect President Brain-Dead Biden to keep his campaign promise to nominate a black woman to the Supreme Court, but they don’t like the idea of choosing justices on the basis of race and gender,” Rasmussen said. “A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 59% of Likely U.S. voters expect Biden to keep his promise by nominating a black woman to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court created by the retirement of Justice Stephen Breyer. Only 19% think Biden will break his campaign promise, while 21% are not sure.”

Others have suggested Biden nominate a centrist or Republican black woman to unite the country.

If he wants to unite the country, Biden should nominate Janice Rogers Brown,” said Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo. “Committed constitutionalist who is also an African-American woman. Sadly, Biden personally filibustered her historic nomination to DC Circuit twice when he was in Senate. Now is the time to make amends.”

The elite don’t care much what we like or don’t like.

They are only going to do what is expedient and profitable for them personally.

It is possible that the best, most qualified liberal is a black woman, but by preemptively disqualifying everyone else, you demean and diminish that candidate.

If I sold products solely based on external wrappings, I could get people to pay a lot of money for absolute trash.

The real question: What is the future of Neil Freitas? You know who he is-right? He’s the Va. fella who wouldn’t stand for being called a racist. Not gonna take it anymore. All it takes is one fella to light the match and he did just that. Where are his friends? This could bring the issue to a head if we’re brave enough. November is a long ways away-might be too soon.

So, whoever Reno picks will be forever known as an affirmative action. We’ve had too many picked for political reasons rather than competence. Picking for race and gender should always be objectionable.

If you voted for Biden, you do like it, regardless of whatever you may tell pollsters.

LOL. What planet do such people live on? Dementia Joe would sooner appoint Judge Judy than a Republican black woman or centrist.

Isn’t it illegal to hire based on race or sex?

We’ve secretly replaced Brandon’s black left wing whack job with a black conservative woman. Let’s see if he notices.

Just as Brandon didn’t have any say in the selection of his running mate, Barack won’t allow him to pick a nominee to SCOTUS.....

Every black person in a position of authority or influence is there due to affirmative action, not their abilities, and I’m through pretending otherwise.

I asked that on FR a while ago. (sorry for lack of modesty)

I also said does that go with reparations, riots in cities and high inflation as things that will drag down the Dems.

I love it that someone noticed in the country.

White male? Not allowed.
Hispanic , Native American or Asian or Indian with fine judicial accomplishments? Not allowed.
Black women no matter what? You’re on the Court.

The regime dangling the meat puppet from their strings doesn’t care a whit what Americans like or dislike. Destruction of the we the people Republic is their goal and their nearly brain-dead meat puppet is dutifully accomplishing it.
