Prayers for you and yours, Fatima.
Great thread, many great comments, with most anything well known already posted. So, 5 worthy (IMO) unknowns / near unknowns:
1st, “The Mystery” by Celestial Navigations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaCznLGBXbI
This one seems like a lot of silly nonsense, some guy just rambling to a musical background, and then at the end you realize you’ve been had. (And a very good point made.)
2nd, from the same guys, a “Chilling” story of life and death: “Ice” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaCznLGBXbI
Remarkably compelling storytelling.
3rd, ok, this one is a little better known: “Hand of Doom” by Black Sabbath. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFdTTdBouCg
Not much description needed here! Not advisable to listen to if depressed...
4th, “Last Chance” by Shooting Star. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFWFIya2xGU
Sort of Kansas derivative on the music, but, not bad, and I like the lyrics: A good “pick me up” and a blizzard of images with this vid!
Last, “Suddenly”, by Ken Hensley. Ken was way past his singing prime (”Look At Yourself”?) when he made this. But, sometimes that’s not what really counts. On the surface, “Suddenly” is about unpleasant surprises in life. But, it is much, much more, as you find out when you get most of the way through. And I think we all know who the “another voice” is. The vid was made shortly before Ken’s sudden, unexpected passing, and, there is no indication he actually knew his time was so close... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwPZq2b_oEU
Ken is truly heart wrenching and heart hopeful / beautiful at the same time.
A fav...
The Browns ~ The Three Bells (a long time ago)

I don’t know if this has been posted yet, but no thread on songs of Life and Death would be complete without a version of Danny Boy. I have always heard it as a Father speaking to his Son going off to war.
This is one of my favorite versions:

Elvis Presley, 1976
ENJOY.
Good evening/morning, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
One more day...and then THE WEEKEND!
Hope your shop is nice and warm!!! And keep working on feeling better.
Among my favorites from this category are "Enjoy The Silence" by Depeche Mode and George Harrison's "What Is Life".
How's everyone doing this morning?
YES! Great flash mob...
Thanks, unique!

TigerHawk.....#250!!
Shannon, Bill Gross
This song always makes me think of some poor dog lost out in the ocean paddling aimlessly. Sad.
Old, old, Fiji...thanks.
