Washington — Congressman Bennie Thompson, chairman of the House select committee investigating the January 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol, revealed Sunday that former Attorney General William Barr has spoken with investigators.
"We've had conversations with the former attorney general already. We have talked to Department of Defense individuals," Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi, said in an interview with "Face the Nation" when asked if the committee intended to speak with Barr about a draft executive order reportedly given to former President Donald Trump that would have directed the Defense Department to seize voting machines after he lost the 2020 election.

REFUSE to talk to them and they'll get their pals in the media to howl that you're "obstructing justice" and trying to "cover up crimes", issue a subpoena, and try to force you to testify about what you're "hiding".
AGREE to talk to them and they'll eagerly ask you a bunch of loaded "Have you stopped beating your wife, sir?" questions to get the answers that they're already determined in advance will be.
The dumbest thing is when they forced Bannon to comply with their dictates and testify about his efforts in the "insurrection". As I noted to some lefty gloating about it, Bannon was a private citizen at the time and not been a member of the Trump administration or Trump's inner circle for YEARS when it happened. It would make as much sense as the GOP forcing Dee Dee Myers to testify under oath about her 'involvement' in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Was she covering for Bubba? I WANT ANSWERS!

Are they squirming? Feeling the heat?
People do NOT show up for an “insurrection” UN-armed.
This is a farce and ANYBODY giving it a moment of their time is part of the ACTUAL insurrection.
They wanted maximum violence and did everything they could to incite it. Even with a woman murdered by the police, the final tally was 5 or 6 windows broken. Not much of a violent "insurrection" but they already had the script written and they could backfill some violence later, just by making it up ("Capitol Policeman killed by fire extinguisher!" - the lying NY Times.)
So this kabuki theater will play out and they'll try to create some new law that specifically declares a single eligible human being ineligible for the office of the Presidency.
After that there'll be a bunch of legal wrangling and we'll see what happens. Might come to shooting at some point, because neither the white hats nor the black hats seem likely to accept an outcome that isn't in their favor.

Bill Barr I had such hope when he came on board, I should have known better ANYONE ever associated with the swamp will ALWAYS BE a swamp creature!!
