The Biden administration will not allow foreign truckers from Mexico or Canada to enter the country unless they provide proof of vaccination against the coronavirus.

Brian Hitchcock, owner of MBH Trucking LLC and interim executive director of the Michigan Trucking Association, expects to lose two-fifths of his revenue due to the United States and Canada’s vaccine mandates. Hitchcock’s drivers travel back and forth from Michigan to Ontario, but only one-sixth of his employees are vaccinated.

Biden’s vaccine mandate will likely hit the automobile manufacturing industry the hardest. Auto Care Association Bill Hanvey warned the vaccination requirement could further strain the supply chain.
In a statement to NBC News, Hanvey said:
Due to the current supply chain issues and chip shortages that the American automotive manufacturers are facing … we believe any additional strains placed on the supply chain have the potential to exacerbate this situation and could cause the demands on both the automotive manufacturers and the aftermarket to rise even further
Doug Betts, president of J.D. Power’s global automotive division, made a similar warning.
By the time you map out the supply chain, it’s just a spider web going everywhere. I would be surprised if there are any (U.S.) cars that don’t have at least one Canadian-based part. Canada is a pretty important part of auto manufacturing. Any part that doesn’t arrive or if there’s something wrong with it, you can’t build it. There’s more points of failure.
Charles Sox, a supply chain expert and University of Cincinnati professor, mirrored Betts’s point. “Automobiles are very complex machines, they have thousands of component parts. It only takes one missing part to stop you from being able to complete that vehicle and sell it,” Sox said.

Bit illegals are OK.
As usual they pick the worst possible approach. They make it difficult to ship important commodities in the middle of a supply chain crisis.
No vaccine requirements for illegal immigrants.
And the vaccine does not necessarily stop the virus. If they were going to try to stop the virus they could require truck drivers entering the border to show proof of a recent test.
(Well, that’ll fix those supply chain issues right up.)
Yes, death by 10,000 cuts.
(All going to plan according to the Great Reset, masterminded by Klaus Schwab aka Dr. Evil.)
What was once conspiracy theory sounds awfully plausible these days, I’m afraid...
(Exactly what they want. Economic shutdown... and when we are finally at our weakest, that’s when the missiles fall.)
It certainly resembles a bad movie...
Mind-blowing
3 on the tree?? Was that a 1948 Desoto? lol
“Among all the vaccines I have known in my life (diphtheria, tetanus, measles, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis, meningitis and tuberculosis), I want to also add flu and pneumonia. I have never seen a vaccine that forced me to wear a mask and maintain my social distance, even when you are fully vaccinated.
I had never heard of a vaccine that spreads the virus even after vaccination. I had
never heard of rewards, discounts, incentives to get vaccinated. I never saw discrimination for those who didn’t. If you haven’t been vaccinated no one has tried to make you feel like a bad person.
I have never seen a vaccine that threatens the relationship between family, colleagues and friends. I have never seen a vaccine used to threaten livelihoods, work or
school. I have never seen a vaccine that would allow a 12-year-old to override parental consent.
After all the vaccines I listed above, I have never seen a vaccine like this one, which discriminates, divides and judges society as it is. And as the social fabric tightens… It’s a powerful vaccine! She does all these things except IMMUNIZATION. If we still need a booster dose after we are fully vaccinated, and we still need to get a negative test after we are fully vaccinated, and we still need to wear a mask after we are fully vaccinated, and still be hospitalized after we have been fully vaccinated, it will likely come to “It’s time for us to admit that we’ve been completely deceived.”
If you pathetic ingrates would just get vaccinated this would all stop /s
But illegals without the jab, come on in!
I had a three on the tree in my 1975 GMC pickup.
Worst transmission design in any auto I have ever owned.
First gear ratio was too low.
You could potentially start off in second if you were going down hill.
Third gear was okay.
No fourth.
Horrible engineering. GM
My 75 GMC pickup had a three on the tree with a 350 V8
Pretty soon the coyotes will be smuggling produce over the border.
Can truckers sneak into the country and claim they are illegal?
All of my kids have at least driven a stick. One really took to it. His Jepp has a 6 speed and he’s a trucker. I think his big rig is a ten speed.
I only drove 3 on the tree once. It was an old pickup truck when I was in high school.
As far as others, I drove all kinds of medium and heavy duty trucks when I was in high school. Then graduated to buses for a couple volunteer gigs. You haven’t lived until you learn to double clutch a 4 speed manual MCI motorcoach.
There’s no tachometer, you shift by a color coded bar on the speedometer. About 15 mph, the speedometer crosses into a new color and theoretically, you have enough engine revs to shift into second. It often doesn’t work and you need to press the clutch and the accelerator and gets the revs up. Eventually you just stop the bus and start over.
Even the real veterans struggled with that on occasion.
Did some grease monkeyin’ in the late 60s.
Used to swear that cars were built *around* the heater core!
IIRC, there was an Olds (or some other GM) that you had to drill a hole through the FR inner wheel well to access a bolt holding the core to the firewall. We used to call it “sadistic engineering”
A little of topic but truckers, healthcare workers, IT workers, Service industry workers, anyone working in Washington DC, all must get the shot. Welfare recipients not so much.
Most pickups at that time were intended as farm or ranch tools. Lower first gear got that trailer moving easier.
I remember in the 60’s and 70’s some men would have the cattle rack in their f100 with 3 or 4 cows crammed in the bed.
Try putting 3-4 thousand pounds in a new 1/2 ton truck.
We got a lollipop for the Salk vaccine at school.
When we got the "Flying Seven(?)" in boot camp, I think we got lunch.
ust when you thought Covid Joe couldn’t f**k things up even more ... (yeah, I know, you never really thought that ...)
But illegals border jump by the thousands...and they don’t test them. Hypocrits...
