I have no idea how 2024 will ultimately play out for Republicans, but I believe if anyone is going to eclipse or defeat Trump, it will be someone like DeSantis who has learned from Trump and could critique him from the right.

NR alwys has been never Trumpers. So now we have Biden. Real good.

I don’t think this is backing DeSantis, merely saying someone could challenge Trump. Which could happen, but the case they make is kond of weak.

Agree, if NR is really supporting DeSantis, then I would have some SERIOUS CONCERNS about DeSantis.

Rich Lowry is a joke. He had the “Against Trump” issue of NR, then after Trump was elected, he put out a book on nationalism. Then once November 3rd was over, he was attacking Trump for fighting the stolen election.
I;m not sure what you mean by ‘surrender’.
I think Trump may have had intelligence suggesting that something was going on with this virus that was ‘unusual’. Maybe he found out what Fauci was like, and it became a matter of ‘not letting the left hand know’, &c.
I’m certainly not going to condemn Trump for something like that, after all of the good he did for the Nation - and can still do, if he decides to run.
Trump could have fired him, demoted him, etc. Even in the last few months Trump said he liked him.
What we need is someone who save America.Trump has shown us he can do it. He is a known entity. Can Desantis do as well? If so than I can go for him. But????
They will 100% be backing Desantis (if he enters.) Same with the Bush Family.
