Biden issues new warning to Russia over invading Ukraine
Honolulu Star Advertiser ^ | Jan 20 , 2022 | AP

President Joe Biden said today that any Russian troop movements across Ukraine’s border would constitute an invasion, saying that Moscow would “pay a heavy price” for such an action.

His stark warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin came in remarks from the White House and was another effort to clear up any confusion about the position of the U.S. and its NATO allies after Biden was heavily criticized Wednesday for saying a “minor incursion” by Russia would elicit a lesser response.

At some point Putin will start quoting Lincoln on the illegality of secession and saying that if Ukraine gets back in the fold all will be forgiven. Otherwise, war until they give up.

Let’s see. Biden deliberately cause large reductions in US oil production, Russia’s Iranian ally Iran is backing wars against Persian Gulf oil producers, and oil prices have skyrocketed. That funds Russia’s military endeavors.

“Sanctions” against Russia will result in a Russia-China alternative monetary system, and hurry on the collapse of US economic power. Ain’t having a demented fool as President grand?

Sounds to me like Biden was colluding with Russia. You can take a little of Ukraine just not the whole thing.

Russia is pretty much in the right on that, too. And will expect us to live up to our word.

Anyone who thinks that fighting Russia on their home turf is a good idea will likely learn the same lesson that Napolean and Franz Halder did. A dangerous game to be toying with.

In 1990 James Baker promised Gorbachev an “Austrian solution” in return for Soviet armed forces leaving Eastern Europe. Specially, we would not expand NATO eastward. The Russians feel totally lied to and betrayed, that our promises were worthless.

Gorbachev broke the "agreement" first with the attack in Vilnius, Lithuania in January 1991. He is now accused of killing 14 and injuring over 700 unarmed civilians.

My guess Putin sticks in the knife offering offensive weapons to Cuba and or Venezuela citing the 63 agreement was with a nation that does not exist anymore. Kind of tit for tat while he ramps up more in Ukraine. Putin et al are playing global chess. Bidet is playing checkers.

Hold up. You're right to a degree, but...

This is the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, from their peak, in 1691, which existed for many centuries also:

The Poles were badasses before the Russians. They saved Vienna from the Turks, and the West from the Mongols. Maybe the Poles want to put it back together?

Biden won’t fire his all-powerful, Master of Disaster, Chief of Staff Ron Klain, who is behind the White House’s biggest failures. Maybe that’s because Joe’s not really in charge

President Biden would have to get Prime Minister Klain's permission to fire Prime Minister Klain.

“until the fall of the soviet union, the ukraine has always been a part of tsarist russia.”

Not always. For a brief period it was part of the Kingdom of Poland.

Yesterday, Biden green lighted the invasion of Ukraine. Today, he is essentially threatening war.

Prediction:
Russia invades Ukraine
China attacks Taiwan
And Biden focuses on crushing domestic “terrorists” (ie. anyone who disagrees with Biden and his fascist travelers)
