Biden issues new warning to Russia over invading Ukraine
Honolulu Star Advertiser ^ | Jan 20 , 2022 | AP

President Joe Biden said today that any Russian troop movements across Ukraine’s border would constitute an invasion, saying that Moscow would “pay a heavy price” for such an action.

His stark warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin came in remarks from the White House and was another effort to clear up any confusion about the position of the U.S. and its NATO allies after Biden was heavily criticized Wednesday for saying a “minor incursion” by Russia would elicit a lesser response.

Did he arch his eyes and rub his fingers when he said “heavy price”?

Our biggest threats are in DC and Beijing.

Warnings are useless. Red lines are going to make you a laughingstock. Now, if you’re quietly moving mountains of supplies and redistributing your forces to within striking distance...you don’t have to say a word. That’s the message. Anything else is theater that will make you look and sound like a comedian when Putin crosses the red lines.

Say what you want about Putin (ruthless, a “killer” as Trump famously called him), etc, but at least he seems to legitimately LOVE his country - unlike the current crop of Communists trying to destroy America from within.

He also doesn’t stand for any BS wokeism or other nonsense and seems to really stand strong on traditional values and patriotism.

It’s a sad state of affairs when it’d be better to have someone like Putin running the US than the idiots we currently have.

Joe’s giving warnings after giving Putin the waiver for his NordStream II pipeline? Yeah, right.

More incursions where we don’t belong.

Haven’t we had enough with the last two debacles?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t he say in his press conference that Russia would probably attack Ukraine?

The Russians have some very nasty weapons now that pose a serious threat. But we will counter them with our supreme wokeness.

You may have just found the bright spot to Nuclear War.

That and third arms. Who doesn’t need a third arm?

Russia and China know that their time is short. They must attack while Biden and the democrats are in power.

That was yesterday’s position.

Absolutely right.

It’s open season and they want to bag a couple of prizes while they can.

And they will.

They’re not idiots. I wish they were but they’re devious schemers deliberately taking this country down. Unfortunately they have lots of enablers and allies helping them do it.

If Putin watched the highlights of yesterday's FJB "press conference" what infinitessimal level of respect Putin had for FJB has evaporated ... instantaneously. All Putin would need to do is to contact a senior member of FJB's candidate to say, "I'm going in, so just be sure to hide the launch codes from your mentally challenged -commander in chief- lest we begin a nuclear back-and-forth." The cabinet member would do just that!

Over the top? Perhaps ... but not out of the realm of possibility, I should think.
