'I trust our members': Pelosi says insider trading issues are the responsibility of the Justice Department as she again comes out against limiting lawmakers' stock trading activity

Nancy Pelosi's new excuse for opposing a ban or limit on lawmaker's stock trading activity is that she always defers to 'trusting our members' and claims it's the Justice Department's responsibility to tackle insider trading.

'I do come down always in favor of trusting our members,' the House Speaker said during her weekly briefing on Thursday.

'Now if the impression that is given by some that somebody's doing insider trading – that's a Justice Department issue,' she continued. 'And that has no place in any of this.'

Last year Pelosi invested 58 million dollars in stocks and achieved at least a 59% annual return on investment of those stock purchases

Pelosi invested heavily into CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm, an arm of the DNC

Expand and improve the Technology Modernization Fund. A $9 billion investment will help the U.S. launch major new IT and cybersecurity shared services at the Cyber Security and Information Security Agency (CISA) and the General Services Administration and complete modernization projects at federal agencies.

Nancy Pelosi just invested heavily into CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm that is an arm of the DNC. It was Crowdstrike that claimed DNC was hacked by Russia, but refused to turn over the data and hardware to the FBI.

Insider Trading is Insider Trading. There are plenty of laws to address it. There only needs to be the will to monitor, investigate and prosecute politicians, when politicans, their families, or cut outs trade stocks on insider information.

When the Republicans take the House in November there will be investigations.

I very seriously doubt that. The GOP is a bunch of spineless, power/money hungry assistant democrats. Why would they investigate anything that might screw up their own gravy train?

I'm kind of iffy on this....and I hate that both sides seem going in have some money, but come out multi=millionaires...

But I would not want they cannot invest / trade like I do either...

I can trade in and out of something in hours or days.

Maybe we limit the amount of trades they and their spouse can make,,in a year.

Maybe we just shut them down all together.
