Fascists send people to camps if they fail to meet a test of ethnic purity, or they have a pretty wife that a fascist wants to steal. Communists send people to camps if they fail to meet a test of ideological purity, or have a pretty wife that a communist wants to steal. So there is some overlap.

That's an interesting way to put it. So in broader terms, Fascists cull out their neighbors who have "defective" biology, and Communists cull out their neighbors who have "defective" morality.

In both cases, the more broadly they define "defective", the more neighbors they cast out "for the common good".

... and the more pretty wives (and fine homes and good jobs etc etc) become available. Seems like the general foundation of history to me, invent a reason to send the competition to oblivion, then feast on the spoils. We have a polite version of this in Canada, have had for many years, I call it voluntary communism.
