The Democratic Party blasted the idea that parents should have a voice in what public schools teach, saying in a Facebook post over the weekend that public education teaches kids what society "needs them to know."

"The purpose of public education in public schools is not to teach kids only what parents want them to be taught," the Michigan Democratic Party’s post continued. "It is to teach them what society needs them to know. The client of the public school is not the parent, but the entire community, the public."

And who determines "what society needs them to know"?

Amazingly, this won’t change the minds of Dem drones. Now this may cost them some independent voters.

What about what parents need them to know?

Who’s the one with the most rights to their children’s education? The state gets nothing.

Maybe if we ALL stopped paying taxes to these radical Marxists their “thoughts” would change....

I live in PA and despise paying these radicals via my hard earned earnings....then they mock and belittle us. Abolish public (indoctrination) schools. If anything they’re making things FAR worse with their Marxist propaganda.

It makes me think of the scene in “The Killing Fields” where a young student is instructed to erase the hands joining a family together (drawn on a blackboard). That is one of the more chilling scenes in that movie as it applies so much to what Democrats are now saying about parents speaking out about CRT and other things being taught in public schools today.

Well now this appears on their Facebook page:

“ We have deleted a post that ignored the important role parents play—and should play—in Michigan public schools. Parents need to have a say in their children’s education, end of story.

The post does not reflect the views of Michigan Democrats and should not be misinterpreted as a statement of support from our elected officials or candidates.”

Hmm….

I find it an interesting exercise to replace the words “public school” with simply “government” and “the public/society” with “the collective”. Then you get the true horror of what is being said.

“The purpose of collective education in government schools is not to teach kids only what parents want them to be taught,” the Michigan Democratic Party’s post continued. “It is to teach them what collective needs them to know. The client of the government is not the parent, but the entire community, the collective.”

” Parents need to have a say in their children’s education, end of story.”

And that broad-ranging statement means what? “A say” that the screwl system will just reply no to?

Not much of an apology. Cannot believe the initial post told parents to go elsewhere if they did not like public schools. Good reason to push vouchers more since the Dems have that attitude.

The rallying cry for 2022 and 24 should be crime and schools.

Schools need to stick with the 3 Rs.

Parents need to teach their little hoodlums right from wrong.

Neither are doing their jobs.

The client of the public school is not the parent, but the entire community, the public.

Well since I’m a client, and your product sucks, I should not be required to keep purchasing your substandard product.

So you should be good with me taking my tax dollars elsewhere.
