I hate to say it, but this probably has as much to do with the gerrymandering of his district as it does Trump.
yep- got the same treatment as Kinzinger did in Illinois by his supposed “friends across the aisle”. “It’s not personal, its business”. This should be a lesson to so called “moderates” Choose a side wisely.

The current Democrat planned hyper-gerrymander, though not official yet, reduces New York Republicans to something like just 3 districts out of 26 and this squish isn’t one of the Lucky 3. The Rats likely won’t field such a weak (albeit well-funded) candidate in the Syracuse area in 2022 as they did in 2020, but with the new lines coming in they can probably run an empty chair and win this time. This would be a good state for some Republican with balls, which lets Katko out, to actually fight the gerrymander in court.
