A federal grand jury indicted Baltimore's top prosecutor Thursday on charges of perjury and making false mortgage applications in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes. The four-count indictment alleges that Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, 41, lied about meeting qualifications for coronavirus-related distributions from a city retirement plan in 2020. Federal prosecutors also allege that the Democratic prosecutor lied on 2020 application forms for mortgages to purchase a home in Kissimmee and a condominium in Long Boat Key. It alleges that Mosby falsely certified that she experienced adverse financial hardships because of the coronavirus, but actually received her nearly $250,000 salary in 2020. The indictment also alleges that in 2020 & 2021, Mosby made false statements in applications for a $490,500 mortgage to purchase a home in Kissimmee, Florida, and for a $428,400 mortgage to purchase a condominium in Long Boat Key, Florida. Since her time in office, Mosby has also been the center of controversy for her policies relating to the state's crime wave, which included keeping low-level offenders out of prison. Despite the controversy, Mosby had previously been praised by Vice President Kamala Harris for her political role a progressive Democrat in 2017, when the VP was still a US Senator.

It’s not at all obvious to me why the Deep State is going after Mosby. Mosby had basically disappeared from the national press in the past few months, and this indictment seems to have no purpose in furthering the Rat agenda. I typically reject conspiracy rumors around the Swamp, but my hair is tingling on this move.
Some crimes just can’t be covered up and especially so for those with a paper trail.
Plus, I have a theory about the current state of prosecutorial affairs. The government is moving away from prosecuting violent crimes that are a result of behavioral issues and focusing on white collar crimes that are the result of greed. The government seriously needs money and cannot afford to have anybody ripping it off. They will justify going harder against this type of criminal saying that their behavior leads to the lack of resources and available opportunities for the poor communities. It’s straight out of communist manifesto.

I’m curious how she could qualify for a $428k mortgage on a second Florida VACATION home while already paying on a $490k mortgage on an existing Florida VACATION home all on a $250k salary? Stands to reason there has to be another mortgage floating out there on a Cook County primary residence, so I wonder how much is off the books?

This is “crime” will be viewwed by the homeboys & homegirls as stealing from “the man!”. It may get argued down to a “misdeameanor” . I don’t see how but behold the magic of the “race card”. There will be a desire to keep her “politically viable” by the Maryland Rat party. So don’t be surprised if this is quickly swept uner the rug, she does leave office but she later reappears running for the legislature.
