People are bloody angry at the double standard they've seen from the state government in giving him an exception to play. The federal government has been drawn into the mess despite not giving him an exemption and actually trying to enforce the border laws that the states insisted on (the states having most of the power concerning public health under Australia's constitution).
Only losers support the vaccine mandate in any way. Many Australians lack the mental fortitude to respect liberty. Reject mandates and fight them.

The WTA is supportive and appreciative of all the efforts put forth by Craig Tiley and Tennis Australia to host the Summer of Tennis under conditions that continue to be challenging for all. The WTA believes that all players should be vaccinated and is in full support of the immigration policies that have been put in place as the protection of the Australian communities in which we compete is critical.
That being said, the complications experienced over the past few days where athletes have followed the approved and authorized process of receiving a medical exemption for entry into the country are unfortunate. Renata Voracova followed these rules and procedures, was cleared for entry upon her arrival, competed in an event and then suddenly had her visa cancelled when she had done nothing wrong.

Czech Republic’s Renata Voracova has spoken out against Tennis Australia, who many believe are the main culprits behind her and Novak Djokovic’s visa fiasco. Voracova revealed there were plenty of costs associated with her travel to Australia, and that she expects the tournament organizers to recompense her for the same.
Both Voracova and Djokovic were granted a vaccine exemption to play at the Australian Open...
Voracova, however, didn’t have the resources or legal help to get similar relief. The former World No. 74 was allowed to enter Melbourne back in December, but the Border Force officials canceled her visa after Djokovic’s arrival.
