The Novak Djokovic saga has a new twist, with fellow players starting to turn on the ‘selfish’ world No.1 amid accusations of favourable treatment over his anti-vaccination stance.
As British great Andy Murray called on Djokovic to come clean over the outstanding questions relating to his botched visa documentation, Portugal’s Joao Sousa spoke out on the double standards that have allowed the defending champion to “find a way around (anti-vaccination) rules”.
“I respect that he fights for what he believes and I can be empathetic with what he is going through in Australia, but it’s a bit selfish from him to arrive here as the only player unvaccinated,” Sousa said.
“It’s tough for us players to accept that.
“Many players – not my case – didn’t want to get vaccinated and were forced to do it to be able to play tournaments. He is finding a way around those rules.”
Sousa joined Wimbledon quarter-finalist Marton Fuscovics in publicly questioning Djokovic’s ‘right’ to play at the Australian Open ahead of next week’s tournament.
Fuscovics, speaking with Hungary’s M4Sport challenged Djokovic’s non-vaccination decision and argued that the health and safety of players was the most important aspect in this debate.
“People’s health is paramount, and there are rules that were outlined months ago, namely that everyone should vaccinate themselves – and Djokovic didn’t,” he said.
“From this point of view, I don’t think he would have the right to be here.”

There’s the rub. It’s not that they think the vaxx works. It obviously doesn’t. They’re upset because they were forced to take it and they want everyone to suffer the same trauma they did.
FakeNewsMSM hate Djokovic, and they’ll drag this out as long as possible. btw he was only one of a “HANDFUL” who were granted exemptions.

Czech Republic’s Renata Voracova has spoken out against Tennis Australia, who many believe are the main culprits behind her and Novak Djokovic’s visa fiasco. Voracova revealed there were plenty of costs associated with her travel to Australia, and that she expects the tournament organizers to recompense her for the same.

Voracova, however, didn’t have the resources or legal help to get similar relief. The former World No. 74 was allowed to enter Melbourne back in December, but the Border Force officials canceled her visa after Djokovic’s arrival.

The nanny bureaucratic State has so many laws on the books that all of us break the law daily without knowing it. Instead of working with the player, The NWO is making an example of him. It will only increase his appeal.

I Don’t get this logic. If the purpose is to prevent transmission of Covid, then being vaxxed double or triple does not seem to confer any advantage.
In Australia, the Governor General, the Treasurer, and former PM Malcolm Turnbull were all fully vaxxed and boosted. They all still got infected and have to quarantine.
What’s to guarantee that a fully vaxxed player won’t similarly be infected or transmit the virus?

It's from Australia's Minister for Health and Aged Care and it's dated 29th November 2021, and it's to Craig Tilley, the Chief Executive Officer of Tennis Australia.
Read the second last paragraph.
It explains in absolutely clear English that having had COVID is not an exemption to entering Australia without have been fully vaccinated. It's very simple to read. The last paragraph tells you where you can confirm the information online on an Australian government website.
It is a simple fact that Djokovic did not have a valid exemption to enter Australia.
It's not complicated. The information was publically available, and stakeholders were specifically informed of it.
While I can believe Djokovic may not have understood this, it doesn't change the fact that this was a requirement.
People may well believe it shouldn't have been. I'm one of those people. But it was a requirement and he has been allowed to evade it. He has, by simple definition, been given special treatment.

So your government is not only authoritarian, it also applies to law inconsistently?
Not all that many, probably.
But for most of the year I have been working 70 or more hours a week, because my primary job is as a teacher and we have had to work far harder than normal because our state government has had us in and out of lockdown and so constantly having to switch at short notice between online and in person teaching. And that's just my primary job.
So I have had less time to be online and participating on Freerepublic.
When I have had such time I have spent a fair amount of time on here, but a lot of the time I haven't.
Right now, though, it's almost the middle of our Christmas/Summer school holidays and I have a fair amount of time to spend online. As this has coincided with a period where interest in what is going on in Australia is unusually high on Freerepublic largely because of this incident, that does mean I've been posting a lot more than normal.
It's not a sign of obsession - although I will admit I am likely to get pissed off when people keep lying about my country - it's mostly a sign I'm not at work right now. I'm on holiday.
About 10 years ago I was driving from North Dakota into Manitoba via I-29. The Canadian border official sent me to "secondary" where for 90 minutes they pulled my car apart,demanded the password to my laptop and asked me 1,000 questions about guns. When they were done they allowed me in and I've entered a dozen times since then without a problem.The only thing I can think of is that a guy with my name (I have a very common name) was on some kind of watch list.
The other players are just mad that they don’t have any balls and Djokovic does.
How do we know he was given special treatment?
