I would agree with you, my point is this, the National GOP Big Issue are compared to Trump MAGA Republicans, most of the time it’s all talk. Two prime examples.
How many Republicans ran on the platform of Repeal and Replace Obamacare ?? When they had the power to actually do it, they folded.
Against all odds, Trump won in 2016 with a platform that included building a wall and doing something about unlimited immigration.
At every turn the Republicans in Washington screwed him.
Abortion is perhaps the biggest social issue, Republicans for decades have proclaimed themselves Pro Life, it took Trump winning and getting 3 Supreme Court nominees, now there is a chance that Roe v. Wade could be overturned and Republicans on the National level are strangely quiet about it, WHY ??? IMO, they are not really prolife they just talk a good game come election time.
IMO, establishment Republicans don’t really like most of their voters, they tolerate them, pander to them at election time and do nothing to support their agenda.
the 1/6 people in jail, how many National Republicans are demanding these people get their due process day in court ??
Ted Cruz who claims to be conservative called them terrorists then had to go on Tucker Carlson and grovel with a nuance answer.
How many National Republicans are standing up and calling the 1/6 committee in the House a farce ??? Not Many, if the situation was reversed how many Democrats would be in full blown melt down ???

Whatever you think is happening, happened a long time ago. Long considered (falsely) a conservative State, SD has been run from the East side of the river by a very liberal wing of the Republican Party. Thus a string of Democrats Representing SD in the Congress, or wuss Republicans who ought to know better but don’t vote as if they do.
