The Wal-Mart here has been terrible at staying stocked. I’ve been going to local grocery stores to get stuff. More expensive, but at least they have what I want. The one thing I see consistently on shortage is meat. The price of steaks is sky high. Other cuts have gone up, but not as much.
The same 5.5 lbs of NY strip steak I paid $55 for a few years ago is now over $17/lb.
I’m stocking up again this week and if it stays frozen for 18 months in the freezer, so be it.
Better to have and not need.
