Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) said on Sunday that while he has previously stated he will support the next Republican presidential nominee, he would take a "hard look" at supporting former President Trump if he runs again in 2024.
ABC "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos asked Rounds, who has shot back at GOP assertions that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent, if he could support Trump if he ran for office again.
"I will take a hard look at it," said Rounds

Someone who the people of South Dakota should be demanding a resignation from. Along with his counterpart, Thune.
Just sucking up to the Big Guy.
One should take a hard look at anyone who wants to preside over us Americans.
Defund journalists!
Political speak.
No serious person should agree to be “interviewed” by George Stephanopoulos.
Rounds is another Bush League Republican that needs to be replaced.
Trump is making draining the swamp almost impossible by continuing to endorse the swamp monsters.
He’s been a Brandon fan ever since Jo Jo sniffed his neck.
I think you will get a sense real soon whether or not the GOP wants to win ‘22 and ‘24…or, if they are going to put their money on Trump.
I don’t think independents want Trump again. Not if someone comes across just as strong, without the baggage. Without independents, the GOP loses.
Primary his ass.
Skeptical of the Steal?
Then he’s nothing but a Rat.
Dismiss him and then deport him.
He’s up in ‘26, just like Cassidy. They’re counting on people having short memories-they do. They may quit and go out like Cheney/Kitzinger. Neither Dakota has a bench to speak of. We’re gonna have to stick with Thune in SD.
“Hard look” huh?
Does anyone even care about what some random US Senator that nobody has even heard of, has to say about President Trump running for President?
What’s the|”baggage”? Being right most of the time?
Primary him....
Marion Michael Rounds term expires in 2026. The RINO will be around for a while just like the turtle.
I loved his policies.
I hated how he could keep his staff. I hated how he made himself such a distraction that he couldn’t get enough traction.
I think his handling of the pandemic was bad.
It's amazing how much I have grown to hate politicians from school boards up to the WH. It also saddens me. Cool that I'm running down the home stretch and won't have to put up with these socialist/commies much longer.
Could not keep his staff. His hiring decisions were not good.
The dope needs to be told in no uncertain terms that he can damn well get on board the train and hold the line against the Communists or he will be last guy in line for cookies.
The other side is talking about imprisoning anyone who questions their fraud and theft. So what’s he doing, trying to lick their butts in advance so they don’t come after him?
Maybe someone needs to look into his business practices. There may be a reason a guy with a lousy poli sci degree from Nowhere State University ends up with a bunch of businesses and being a Senator. If so, he may need to resign and let a real Conservative take his place.
