What I ingest is capsules with quercetin isolated from fruits (500 mg) and vitamin C (1,400 mg) each, which are claimed to assist the zinc ion to get into the human cell and prevent the virus from replicating.
With it, every day I take a tablet that gives 50 mg of the zinc ion from a natural, easily and cheaply available substance.
You have to have both quercetin and zinc cooperating to get the antiviral effect, not merely one or the other.
