Rep. Liz Cheney, the vice chairwoman of the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, said Thursday she is looking forward to Vice President Mike Pence's cooperation and his team "continuing" their cooperation in the panel's investigation.
The Wyoming Republican also called him a "hero" for his actions that day.
"Former Vice President Pence was a hero on January 6. He refused the pressure of the former President. He did his duty, and the nation should be very grateful for the actions that he took that day," Cheney told NBC's Savannah Guthrie on the "Today" show. "We look forward to continuing the cooperation that we've had with members of the former vice president's team, and I look forward as well to his cooperation."
Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson, chairman of the House select committee, has said he wants to hear directly from Pence, who certified the 2020 presidential election results. The Democrat also said he wants the former vice president to voluntarily speak to the committee about conversations he was privy to in the days leading up to the insurrection and what he witnessed on that day.

Now all the traitors are coming out of the woodwork.
Sorry to change the subject but turn on Tucker......HHe is ripping Ted Cruz a new azhole!!!
Hastily certified fraud is *not* the mark of a hero, nor is it an attribute of courage. Liz does not know that, nor does she want to.
Ted Cruz sure is doing some plain and fancy pants wettin’ on Tucker Carlson tonight. Never seen him this desperate.
She thinks she’s positioning herself for 2024 by doing this.
She’s got another thing coming, if that’s what she thinks.
If Cruz had any chance of the 2024 Prez nomination, he no longer does.
That one statement on the Senate floor just removed ANY possibility of him winning the nomination.
I agree. I thought he would at least have some clue where the conservative base is on this subject. He doesn’t.
Tucker’s raking Cruz over the coals was a sight to behold. How many times did he say “I don’t believe you.” In the end, try as he might, Cruz could only concentrate on how he was using the word ‘terrorist’. It doesn’t take a genius watching the full clip and context of what Cruz said, it doesn’t wash even a tiny bit.
Only a fool would waste money on a hotel room expecting Mike Pence to stand firm against Democratic vote theft (or any other Democratic endeavor).
Pence’s price:
un morceau du fromage
Ted thought he would weasel his way out of this and Tucker wasn’t letting him.
Some will buy it, but for me it just confirms what I thought of Cruz.
Obvious!! Mike Pence said he may run for POTUS in 2024. If Trump runs, Pence is done so he has a personal reason to help the communist democrats stop Trump. Traitor!!
Best TV in a long time.
Sight to behold.
Liz Cheney won’t settle for a bit of cheese.
A nice bipartisan bounty is what she wants.
Look at the bright side, Cruz knows how much trouble he has gotten himself into and will pretty much do whatever we want to keep his seat now ...
This action is a veiled attempt to find charges against Trump that will stick so he can be charged with a felony to prevent him from running in 2024 and breakup the Republicans so they don’t take the Senate and House away from the Dems this November.
That Texas Senate seat is just a stepping stone to Ted.
His ambition knows no bounds.
Including the Constitution.
Cancun Cruz will be lucky to keep his Senate Seat, much less ever become President.
Later on the show when Jason Whitlock was on, he agreed with Jason that Cruz needed to be given credit for having the guts to come on the show. It’s a rare occasion to disagree with Tucker but this is one such time. This has very little to do with guts and it’s actually quite simple... It was pure hubris that convinced Cruz to make the ‘terrorism’ speech that he did and as part of that hubris, he was already looking down the road with lofty plans and thinking that this was part of ticket. The firestorm backlash that was stuffed down his throat made it clear what he had to do... J6 one year later only comes around once and if he didn’t take that gambit of going on Tucker’s show, he was done. It was a gamble and his hand was forced to take it. It had zero to do with guts.
As for whether that gamble paid off... I don’t think for one second the jury is out on that one. It didn’t.... he is well and truly done.
