Now, a year later, video clips continue to come at such a relentless pace that they seem to be on a constant loop — not only on TV and social media feeds, but in people's minds, triggering anxiety, insomnia and all sorts of traumatic stress.

The footage that sticks out in my mind is that of Ashli Babbitt trying to get through a broken window and what seems to be the entire room capturing her every move, even after she’s on the ground, with their cell phones.

Listening to Camel-toe Hair-a@@ and Foe Jiden is itself traumatizing. Listening to MSDNC and CNN bloviate and talk about their PTSD as if they just came back from Afghanistan is deeply traumatizing. Why won’t Santa come down the chimney! Is he stuck up there? And why oh why does it snow every time the ground shakes? And why are we underwater?
