My BIL is in the hospital and on a ventilator because of Covid. He tested negative around Thanksgiving but turns out he DID have Covid. By the time he finally tested positive 2 weeks later, it was too late for monoclonal antibodies. He’s been hospitalized since December 18th and on the ventilator since December 23rd, and yet even with ICU treatment, he is still testing positive for Covid, FFS!

These are the same people that come to the ER 6 times a season wanting a flu test. In the lab we think its some country club of people that can then say.. i had the flu. Big whoop.
Meanwhile your mothers stroke and your husbands heart attack are waiting with them and behind them. Btw.. the whole family also has to be tested for strep n everything else.
None of this is necessary. I was sick last week.. haven’t measured a temp greater than 97.6 in 21 years.. i had a 101.1 for 20 hours, woke up fine with just a headache.
We always think if they had to pay 5 dollars for every er visit, they would stop coming.
Might not be true.. where you n i will shell out 40 dollars for some otc meds, soup and liquids to take care of ourselves, they get the whole thing for free. And they use it.

First, we KNOW that the PCR test can come back positive with COVID for up to 12 weeks after you had COVID.

So, having a PCR test after 5 days is a roll of the dice (at best), and it can take 2-3 days for PCR test results!

So, you will be out 5+ days NO MATTER WHAT, and if you test positive at day 5 (7 or 8), then does your 5 day quarantine start over? Do you have to wait another 5 days to re-test to return to work?!?

This is stupid - PERIOD!
