ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – A man is accused of shooting a woman to death in an apparent road rage incident on his way to a bar on New Year’s Eve, police said.

Police said Vadella was driving on Rostraver Road on her way home from visiting her mother when Hairston was following closely behind her. Witnesses told police they were on the way to a bar and Hairston was trying to pass Vadella’s car because she was driving slowly, the criminal complaint said.
When Hairston got into the left lane, witnesses told police Vadella bumped into him, making Hairston angry. He then rolled down his window and fired twice, police said.
He drove away and two minutes after the alleged shooting went to a bar in Rostraver Township, the criminal complaint said.
Police said Vadella was struck and found dead inside her car.

Cal U released a statement on her death, saying the university was “heartbroken.”
“A clerk-typist in the Office of Academic Success for 10 years, Holly was a valued member of our Cal U family. Our hearts go out to her family, friends and colleagues,” the statement said.
Maybe he was fleeing from having committed a crime elsewhere?

This is about 15 miles from me.
It's a nice, rural, middle class, majority White (97%) area.
There is very, very little crime around here.
I would venture to guess that the vast majority of households have, at least a deer rifle and probably a shotgun and a .22lr.
I have no doubt that we have one of the highest CCW rates in the nation.

This is horrific. The only solution is capital punishment, quickly administered. These people have no moral compass so society has to make it overwhelmingly clear this is not tolerable.
They have no problem killing babies, I have no problem executing filth like this guy.

At minimum, there should be physical evidence.
If any contact occurred, it was him hitting her or it was purely accidental.
My Sister knew her well and says that she was a sweet 59 year old Grandmother.
Not the type to be ramming complete strangers at 1:30am, on a country road, while alone.
From the story, it sounds like the witnesses were passengers in the murderer's vehicle.
