Not as bad as it use to be. I can remember a time where you could buy a steak on a sunday but you couldn’t buy a frying pan to cook it in .

Yeah, I worked grocery retail during the era of full-blown blue laws. Some retailers just covered up merchandise sections prohibited for sale on Sunday. It was weird, but not “bad.” It was the projection of a Christian moral within society at that time. Sundays were seen as more sacred. I long for those times. Look at what we’ve lost since those regulations were all but obliterated.

I liked the strict old blue laws if for nothing else than it made Sunday a peaceful day. So restful.
