I hate government, any government, dictating what we put into our own bodies.

And do you realize that drug laws don’t actually prohibit what you put into your body, but the possession of the substance?

There are ‘possession by consumption’ laws. How would you like to be taken to the police station for a urinalysis, based on possession of marijuana paraphernalia?

I don't want government bureaucrats telling me what I am allowed to ingest or what I must ingest. A free man makes his own decisions. Remember when alcohol was prohibited in this country?

Substitute your scary list with beef, pork and chicken. What if the government banned meat? If you allow government to ban one item, then any item, even ones you like, could be banned.

If someone wants to take heroin in the privacy of their own home, I don't care. It's their home. It's their body. But if they hurt someone else in doing so, then I care. And I don't want to pay for their medical treatment.

If that makes me a libertarian...
