But, inexplicably, when it arrived in the United States, the death rate is expected to skyrocket!
Truthfully, if 44,000 people die with COVID19 on their death certificate next month, and assuming an average of 430,000 daily "cases", that works out to a case fatality rate of about 0.3%, which is waaaaaaay below the cumulative US CFR for the pandemic of 1.5%.
Of course I'm not cheering on death. But the fact that the lethality of the virus is falling SHOULD be a positive news item.
