No, the idiots will vote (D) regardless of how many times they’re lied to and betrayed.

Funny, but my take on it is that action on student debt could hurt Democrats in [the] midterms.

Mrs rktman will welcome repayment of the payments she made to pay for her college. A check is fine. Thanks dems. Oh, it doesn’t apply to those that finished their obligations 30 years ago? Geez. That doesn’t seem “equitable”. :-}

They’ll blow billions and 18-29 will still only show up at less than 10%

Even my liberal friends are starting to see the light and how much the far left is hurting their party. Good.

It’s funny how these children really believed that they would get debt forgiven. I guess they really think Trix are for rabbits. Silly rabbits.

In a society where everyone gets free schooling until they turn 22, and curriculum gets watered down so that any moron can pass, where are employers going to get educated, qualified, skilled employees to fill high-technical jobs?

Answer: Graduates from even higher education. Qualification for better jobs will rise to whatever level provides graduates who cared enough to provide for their own education.

Paying for babysitting 20 year-olds isn’t just a taxpayer ripoff, it is counter-productive. We would be better off burning that money.

If the snowflakes, marshmallows, cupcakes and their “Nancy” princesses wouldn’t spend all their money on every book their commie lib massahs put out, they’d have money to pay their own tuition like the rest of us.

I have parent plus loans left on my last kid out of 3 who went to college. I am holding off paying on these loans. I have a plan for using excess funds that otherwise are earmarked for student loans plus the current savings from not having to pay principal or interest.

My plan is to use these excess funds to buy I Bonds which fluctuate based on inflation. Currently they are paying 7%. So while inflation ramps up I win by taking advantage of Biden’s inflation economy. I also win by taking advantage of Biden’s socialism policies to take advantage of changes in the loan terms like forgiveness, rate reductions, payment deferrals etc.

Further, if I really want to squeeze every dime. I could consider using up to $10k of I bond proceeds as a contribution to a 529 plan which makes the interest earned tax free and be eligible for a state tax credit. Then using the 529 plan to make a $10k payment against the loans.

IF OBAMA had stayed out of this arena, NONE of this would be a problem.

When Feds took over student loans-—INTEREST went to 8.9%

Friend was paying less than 5%

How about this:

Student loans will be “forgiven” in exchange for permanently surrendering the right to vote.

Anyone who signs a contract to re-pay a loan, and then expects someone else to pick up the bill, lacks the integrity to be involved in selecting government leadership.

Why don’t democrats go after the greedy universities? Aren’t they the ones forcing kids to take out loans for overpriced degrees? Shouldn’t there be price controls on tuition? Colleges are profiting off of education, which is a human right! Shouldn’t the predatory colleges victimizing helpless students by reined in?

Might be more palatable if they forced the institutions of
“higher” education to pay out of their reserves.

I still wouldn’t be happy because of what we paid already for my family, but I’d like it better.

The proggies promised them a free gourmet dinner and now hope that a cheese sandwich will buy them off. Not happening.

The real problem is that nobody has a plan that wouldn't shatter the current system upon inception. The Dems figured that if they could snap their fingers and make a couple trillion dollars disappear, they could make them reappear just as easily. It's all magic in Liberal LaLa Land.
