Donald Trump said Wednesday that people unvaccinated against coronavirus are the ones getting 'very sick' as he pushed back against conservative Candace Owens by claiming all Americans should get the jab while he again took credit for its creation.
'I came up with a vaccine – with three vaccines,' Trump told the Daily Wire host, referring to the development of the Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines while he was still president. 'All are very, very good. Came up with three of them in less than nine months. It was supposed to take five to 12 years.'

In my case I backed into my retirement numbers.
I figured out how much I need to retire.
Then I used the most conservative possible investment strategy to make it happen.

If SCOTUS gives Federal Agencies the ability to force medical care (i.e NAZIS and forced sterilization etc..) on citizens as a condition to work, it will take a Convention of States or worse. Red States will have to disconnect from OSHA and set their own standards. That could setup a broader fight over States rights vs the Feds. I read an article that States sign on to OSHA Standards and receive Federal funds. But can they refuse to follow OSHA Standards, give up the Federal funds and set their own work place safety standards?
The pro-vaxers are not happy enough to just take their chances with the injections. They want everyone to be equally miserable when something goes wrong,
and have to tell everyone why they are right, right?/sarc

I think that when there is an incomplete data set and I have to make a decision sometimes extrapolation and interpolation is necessary to complete. For me, the conditions are:
- I’m doing the interpolating.
- I’m doing the extrapolating.
- I’m making the decision.
If someone wants to help me complete that data set, as you say... burden of proof is theirs - no faith here. And NO ONE, especially not some troll on the interwebs cares more about me and my family than me. So the burden of proof is extraordinarily high.

I believe DeSantis was just responding to the official statistics that were given out at the time, but I believe those statistics were in fact erroneous, the release of data appeared manipulated. The CDC’s figures didn’t comport with the stats places coming from places like those the UK and Israel put out, and I believe their data to be a more accurate reflection. DeSantis isn’t himself a scientist and it would have been too risky for him to disavow “US experts” so he focused on challenging the mandates and lockdowns. Whatever his real thoughts are about the safety and efficacy of the vaxx, it was wise politically to nuance his moves.

President Trump is not only proud of what his administrtion accomplished, he knows it helped save lives in the fight against the original, and strongest, strain of Covid 19.
Remember, this virus almost killed him. We all saw when he returned to the WH from the hospital, climbed the stairs to the balcony and removed his mask that he was still having trouble breathing. He lived the seriousness and urgency of the moment most of us naturally forget over time.--- And Trump met that moment as none before could even imagine.
Had Trump's second term not been taken away we'd be living in a different world. There woud be no mandates, no threats against American citizens. The vaccine would be, as he says, a personal choice. No shutdowns, no vaccine passports, no two classes of citizenship.
Trump would have turned Operation Warp Speed to the development and production of therapeautics, expanded "Right to Try" under an emergency EO. Hospitals would be fully staffed, vaccinated or not, our Southern border would not be the source of new virus infections and this disagreement between vaxers and no vaxers would not have exploded into a moronic death match.
Trump is not "full of himself". Trump, yet again, is right.

This has been my approach with pro vaxx relatives.
I just keep telling them “chill out, this will be over soon enough. Life will go on....”
I don’t think they actually believe me, but it does calm them down for a few minutes at least.

It’s not that science is meant to be a belief system, whereas The Science, as misdirected as it may be, has become a self righteous belief system.
It is not anti-science to dispute The Science, as it has been misnamed. Given the fact that many that believe The Science are preaching daily ‘ to the unbelievers’ just proves my point.
Words mean things, as Rush used to say. Terms like The Science, and changed definition of vaccines are not semantics. They have become weapons.
I am a scientist by profession. I have been jabbed, Moderna, I accepted Flattening the curve FOR TWO WEEKS, and yet have had vaxx side effects, short covid within three months of jabs, and long Covid six months after jabs. These are not vaccines. It is not anti-science to be against mandates.
