Can’t imagine how that could be done? But I get your point about the big lie technique. This article requires too much effort for such a minor complaint. Actually, if you stop to think about it, why is somebody’s hurt feelings a national news story? Using a common sense perspective, it’s much ado about nothing.

How could it be done? How many other businesses have been closed due to the “pandemic”...? Why not newspapers and rag magazines too? Just saying. I can recall that there was a push to make journalism a govt job, just like health care, prior to 2008. I don’t dig any business being forced to close, but why should journalists get to keep their phoney baloney jobs when other businesses (that were doing well) have to close?

Aren't there some places these days that have made using the "wrong pronouns" an offense worthy of incarceration?
