That means reabsorption of eastern Europe into Russia’s orbit.

Total insanity, short of a hot war (which Russia would lose) that is not going to happen.

FYI, Russia and China have been tag team partners since the late 1990s, when they agreed on a joint mission to establish a “new international order”. They’ve been conducting large-scale joint war games since 2005.

From the Sino-Russian Joint Statement of April 23, 1997:

“The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order.”

THE HUNGRY BEAR - PART 5: Russia, China ‘cooking something up’

___________

“Joint war games are a logical outcome of the Sino-Russian Friendship and Cooperation Treaty signed in 2001, and reflect the shared worldview and growing economic ties between the two Eastern Hemisphere giants.”
____________

The Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation Between the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation (FCT) is a twenty-year strategic treaty that was signed by the leaders of the two international powers, Jiang Zemin and Vladimir Putin, on July 16, 2001.

On June 28, 2021, Russia and China extended the treaty for another 5 years after it expires in February 2022.[1][2]

The treaty outlines the broad strokes which are to serve as a basis for peaceful relations, economic cooperation, as well as diplomatic and geopolitical reliance.

Controversially, Article 9 of the treaty can be seen as an implicit defense pact, and other articles (A7 and A16) point at increasing military cooperation, including the sharing of “military know-how” (A16), namely, Chinese access to Russian military technology.”
