WASHINGTON (AP) — Warning that extremism in the ranks is increasing, Pentagon officials are issuing detailed new rules prohibiting service members from actively engaging in extremist activities. The new guidelines come nearly a year after some current and former service members participated in the riot at the U.S. Capitol, triggering a broad department review.

The new policy lays out in detail the banned activities, which range from advocating terrorism or supporting the overthrow of the government to fundraising or rallying on behalf of an extremist group or “liking” or reposting extremist views on social media.

Back in 1977 I got into a row when at a forced “race relations” class that was required had the black instructors tell me that the Sons of Confederate Veterans was a radical white racist organization. I stood up and argued with them and they were upset that I challenged them. A Senior NCO pulled me aside and told me to ignore them because they would label me as a radical and hurt my APR and for me to just write them off as ignorant racists. The first black general in the USAF a month later selected me as the Airman of the Year for 1976 for Keesler AFB and presented the award to me at a ceremony.

Forty years of indoctrination by radical left leaning black military members has taken its toll.

The key question is, how do they define "extremism"? For the left, "extremism" tends to include anything they disagree with. Will our military define as 'extremist" any or all of the following ideas or affiliations?

- opposition to same-sex marriage

- the belief that there are only two genders

- the belief that Christianity is the only true religion

- opposition to globalism and/or belief in national sovereignty

- the belief that there were irregularities in the 2020 presidential election

- the belief that Islam poses a threat to Western civilization

- opposition to vaccine mandates

- opposition to open borders

- membership in any organization which supports any of the above beliefs
