State Sen. Doug Ericksen, a stalwart conservative, former leader of Donald Trump’s campaign in Washington and an outspoken critic of COVID-19 emergency orders, died Friday. He was 52.
Ericksen had said last month that he tested positive for the coronavirus while on a trip to El Salvador, although his cause of death was not immediately confirmed on Saturday....
...Ericksen, a Republican from Ferndale, had been in El Salvador, where he tested positive for the virus that causes COVID. He wrote last month to his Republican colleagues asking if they could help him get treatment....
...A longtime foe of environmental regulations, Ericksen was chosen by Trump in 2017 to be part of a transition effort to reshape the Environmental Protection Agency. He split his time between Olympia and Washington, D.C., during that stretch...

Oh, really???
Not 49?
I’m 55 today, 54 when I got the virus and was ill for a whopping...72 hours. And that was before I knew about D & zinc at a minimum.
Stupid is as stupid does.
It’s all lies.
The vaxx destroyed it. If he was vaxxed. He probably died of something else anyway.
He was against the mandatory vaccination programs. There is a big difference between being told you have to do something or lose your job, or ability to travel , and it being a choice.
He didn’t role dice, not even figuratively.
May God bless his family, his friends, the state he served and our United States.
Very sad situation. He was one of the good guys in the legislature. 🙁
My hubby too! And he has a certain risk factor that seems prevalent. I myself was 51.
Last year this time we were all sick with COVID. My mom, then me, then hubby and son, and also cousin living with mom. Only our son was less than 45. None of us went to a hospital. Etc.
My MIL DID die of COVID Jan 6. She hadn’t seen us since Oct, so was not part of our issues. She like her son also has a certain risk factor and a few others…but otherwise younger and seemingly more healthy than my frail hermit mother.
So it can be a crap shoot of sorts. But I suspect we’re not truly hearing details about risk factors. It’s easy to say “old, obese, and having cancer or diabetes or heart problems”, but I think there may be more specifics. Those cover a lot of people, but not all of them are in dire straits.
He asked for treatment and apparently didn’t get it. Withholding treatment is tantamount to murder.
I have to ask….if the vaxes don’t prevent catching and spreading….why was there so much talk of herd immunity? Only recently has there been a complete dearth from the PTB about “herd immunity”. A few months ago it was still discussed.
We obviously would all be better off if there was aggressive early outpatient treatment. So many options which can be used in combination. Ivermectin HCQ, Luvoxamine, Nebulized steroid, monoclonal Abs, otc Zn, Quercetin, C, D3, melatonin, Benadryl with lactoferrin.
Getting to herd immunity mostly with natural adaptive immunity and aggressive treatment would have made the most sense. But we know that government only wants what’s good for vaccine makers and as the pretext to get exert more control. The FDA is more concerned with interdicting Ivermectin than filling out FOiA requests, CDC want to ignore adverse effects. In France they actually made Ivermectin prescription when it used to be OTC before Covid.
It would seem some of us get a lot of bad luck, and some a lot of good. And some in between.
Mostly I’ve been OK. MIL died of it, but no one else I knew who had it even went to the hospital. Many of us had it but even my elderly mom and her friend did not have trouble with it. And, we just found out the other week, praise God, that a former employee of my hubby’s with cystic fibrosis, who suffered COVID and was given no hope after what it did to his lungs, has reappeared when hubby had to have an interview with a prospective new employer. He had quit in despair and didn’t even take his work benefits, so they had no clue what happened to him. Assumed he would die. It was so sad. But then, hubby was asked about him last week!
He was unable to come home because he tested pos outside the country. But he finally b got medivacked to a hospital in Florida. So I guess he could enter the country..confusing press stuff. Maybe he could not fly on commercial planes?
Anyway I am sure he died of covid.
There would never have been herd immunity with delta. Omicron perhaps.
Goodness, I thought you were informed even though I disagree with your angle. You think at 50 one’s chances significantly increase to die from sarscov2? It is not hard to find out it is not until around 70 years old and with a host of co-morbidities that one has risk.
The average age of death from covid is around 78.6. The average life expectancy in America is the same. Please stop promoting fear. Please - really
...although his cause of death was not immediately confirmed...
IOW, no he didn't. Partisan Media Shill and Stooge alert.
That is not at all clear and is probably not true in my assessment. It sounds like wishful thinking at best.
If it were true, the statistics for the last two months would be unmistakable. Data collection would be mandatory, and the results reported constantly by all the media.
I cannot imagine a more effective way to promote the mRNA treatment and lessen resistance to it. I notice that is not being done. I conclude that they simply do not want to expose what real data would show.
What we see are unsourced claims backed by statistical gimmicks like case counts from before any substantial number of people received the Jab.
It should be easy to prove that the treatment lessens the length and severity of the disease, especially now that most of the population has received the treatment. But there are no systemic data collection and reporting systems from any official US sources that show such evidence. Hospitals that used to publish limited statistics have stopped doing so.
It might be true. Let's see some credible, recent, and official data.
He was getting better and then he got worse? From the virus or something else?
