He was getting better and then he got worse? From the virus or something else?
Idk. They said he was recovering but covid can be tricky, throw a blood clot that is fatal at an inopportune time.
Last I read all ICU pts were put on heparin, but if he wasn’t in the ICU...maybe no blood thinner and bam.
Here in Michigan we have had three very bad surges. We are still number one for cases I think.
But at the beginnihng, the first surge in March 2020, they didn’t know much. There were no vaccines yet. ER nurses would get covid, test positive, and be sent home to recover. A few days later they would find them dead on their sofa in the apartment....threw a clot. Pretty young healthy gals but bit chubby, A few of them.
It was so sad. And later they began to understand those random clots and link them to covid.
And now they recommend low dose aspirin if you think you will be exposed.
