My Publix is also a few minutes away. Its prices on everything are outrageous......price-gouging at its finest.

I like Publix' danish bakery and deli....outside of that, I hold my nose and do my shopping at WalMart.

Here I save up to 40% ( ! ) over the prices at Publix, sometimes more. I kid you not.

The savings I 'm enjoying are enormous...and, most local folks I know are now shopping WalMart because financial survival is paramount these days.

You do what ya hafta do even when it goes against your political grain, sad to say.

I don’t buy much meat (other than ground beef) at Publix - Chicken breasts & steaks I get at Doris’ Market. The subs @ Publix are a good value - especially the chicken tender sub when on sale. I’ve noticed that milk is very expensive at my Publix lately. But cheese is still reasonable. If I had a family to feed, I’d be right there w/ you at Wally World for the milk alone.
