The Iranian Navy's bad luck is continuing when it comes to warship accidents.
An Iranian naval vessel known as the Talayieh, which was still under construction, capsized in dry dock.
This happened at the Bandar Abbas port in southern Iran.
Videos posted on social media seem to show the naval vessel on its side and people could be seen hanging onto railings along the side of the ship tipped upwards.
According to some reports, at least one person was killed in the incident.Iran's Talayieh warship has capsized in dry dock | December 7, 2021 | Defense Updates

That right there is funny no matter who ya are (unless you’re a mullah).
Many, many years ago we flew occasional patrols into the Gulf, just to show support for the Shah,i guess, since he had just purchased several P-3C aircraft. The reason was way above my pay grade at the time. Anyway we’d over night in Bandar Abbas. It was HOT, smelly, and very unfriendly even then. We were basically confined to quarters unless we were en route to/from the airplane. Nobody could wait to leave.

Reporting standards just aren't what they used to be.
The ship didn't capsize. In fact if it were in the water in this orientation it would only be listing. Since it is in dry dock, it looks like it merely fell off the cribbing/supports on one side, or maybe they collapsed. Going to be a handful to get it back upright and repair any damage.

They’ve got the “add water” part right.

The whole thing was just a big misunderstanding. Or mistaken identity. Or, as someone mentioned, could be COVID.

“ Well, it doesn’t sound very dry now.”
Since the ship was still under construction and there was quite a bit of water in there, I don’t think they have really grasped the idea of “dry dock”.
