I went to a crazy lefty college many decades ago—and I made lots of waves, leading a conservative group of campus.
It is a great character building experience—you can learn more from that experience in a few years than most people who “go along to get along” learn in their entire lives.
Lessons learned include:
Everybody lies about everything—trust no one.
You are on your own.
You need brass ones to survive and prosper in life.
Never give in to sociopaths.
Never.
Great, hard lessons.
One person I knew then had a choice to make about cheating in organic chem I talked him out of it. I learned later that his greed and avarice did finally overtake him in his career…yet that face still looked friendly.
