Twitter lefties have been doing that already. I've been correcting some by using wikipedia's list of major tornadoes of North America. The deadliest outbreak on record is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_1896_tornado_outbreak_sequence
Hardly can be blamed on methane and population density was lower then too. Hadn't really even got into the industrial age.
A total of 484 people were killed during the entire outbreak sequence by at least 38 different tornadoes which struck Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Kentucky, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.[nb 1][nb 2]
You know that to “them” FACTS DON’T MATTER. Toss this to them and tell them you’ll wait:
1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.
2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.
