I have no idea what he’d bring to the White House. I’ll support him if he runs and gets the GOP nomination, but I have a deep-seated distrust of people like this who spend their lives getting groomed for public office.

Agree. DeSantis’s resume is quite similar to Buttigieg’s. A ticket punched in all the right places.

I’ve never seen DeSantis address the institutional corruption of the GOP in a Trumpian manner. Ever. That’s a huge red flag for me.

I’ll happily vote for DeSantis (again) but I’m also prepared to be disappointed with him. I doubt he’s a historic figure in the manner of Presidents Trump and Reagan.

Make no mistake about it — Ron DeSantis is a GOP establishment guy from top to bottom. That doesn’t mean I won’t vote for him, but it does mean I have no illusions about what he brings to the table.
