The Salvation Army has been infiltrated for several years now with the goal of destroying the organization. They caved to sexual perverts awhile back, and now this, and their leadership lied about it once they received pushback.
I hate to see it, but the SA is done.
I agree with what you said. I feel duped and disrespected.
I will never give them another dime, and am very tempted to put notes in the red kettles (another FReeper had a sample up a few days ago) telling them “here is some white guilt”, since they seem to value it above helping people with donated funds.

Don’t just pass. Tell them to piss off. Let them know that your new refusal to contribute is because of their betrayal. Don’t need a conversation, just “Piss off”. They will figure it out at end of day when pot is empty.

I just had a Captain from our local Salvation Army on my radio show, and I asked him (off-air) about this. He said that directive came from someone in the Salvation Army international. He said there has been a huge uproar within the Army about it, and they’re not following any sort of directive from some woke international nut. He said the biggest problem they’re facing because of this is it makes the Army look political, when they’re apolitical.
Just wanted to throw this out there before everyone decides not to give to the Salvation Army.
