According to the logic in the article they aren’t the correct race. Also, I suspect the squad are very offensive to a large segment of the population, some of which are Democrats.
The Democrats are in a tough spot. They know they need to find a way to get Harris out of the VP spot. However, they cannot simply remove the first female and minority vice president without touching off a huge backlash. Some have suggested that she will be named to the Supreme Court, but I don’t see that happening. It’s too high profile a position, and even the Democrats realize what a train wreck the confirmation process would be. My theory is they’ll create a new cabinet post (Secretary of Infrastructure?), with Harris publicly announcing her desire to vacate the VP spot in order to take on this “immensely important new challenge” (plus, they’ll pay her a boatload of money behind the scenes to make that announcement.) This will allow Harris to save face, with Joe Biden “reluctantly” agreeing to her wish to accept this new assignment.
They wanted a black woman on the ticket and this is what and whom they chose. Hoist on their own petard.

*: Electoral polling, not the other kind of poling Harris does....
There may be a reason Biden is actively blocking the release of the JFK assassination documents after all these years. If the DS and the Democrats can set up a “MAGA Supporting Patsy” then I wouldn’t be surprised to see history repeat itself. I honestly hope that she has good protection because the last thing we need is for her to become a martyr and for them to install another puppet who might be more popular/smart and resonate with the brain dead masses.

Obama probably suggested Harris and Obama will be consulted on the next step to take, since she is not useful to the progressive cause.
