The Post is reporting what The Guardian is reporting from reading, I am sure very carefully selected and out of context sentences, of the book.

So what does Meadows really write in the book?

Maybe. But why would Meadows even put something like that in the book?

Regardless of all the great things he did for the country, without the help of Congress, they still can’t help themselves when it comes to talking negatively about President Trump.

President Trump must have really been doing some damage to their money laundering operations.

These kinds of stories are designed to generate buzz about the book and drive sales so people can find out what was really said.

My guess is that Meadows wrote something like "Trump tested positive for COVID prior to the debate, and the campaign panicked, but then Trump took a second, more accurate test and was negative. So we proceeded with the debate."

And the MSM press breathlessly reports "Trump TESTED POSITIVE PRIOR TO DEBATE!!!!!!!!"
