As Russian mechanized forces massing near Ukraine raise fears of an invasion this winter, tank watchers on social media have identified more and more Russian tanks sporting unsubtle field modifications seemingly aimed at fending off Ukraine’s newest weapons: U.S.-supplied Javelin anti-tank guided missiles and TB2 Bayraktar drones supplied by Turkey. Both pose a deadly threat to the top armor of armored vehicles, where protection is drastically weaker... Russia’s military is visibly experimenting with at least two new methods to protect against top-attacking menaces.
The first is to fit an umbrella of slatted armor on top of the tank. Slat armor is intended to disable or misdirect the fuse of the chemical-energy HEAT munitions in an anti-tank missile, causing it to unleash its jet of armor-piercing molten metal at an ineffectual angle and/or distance vis-a-vis the tank’s turret... These modifications, which have been seen on Russia’s workhorse T-72B and T-72B3 tanks, are non-standardized, suggesting experiments implemented in the field to address a possible operational contingency, rather than a factory-issued perfected solution...
Furthermore, according to munitions expert Neil Gibson, the molten jet projected by a Javelin’s warhead is likely long enough and a tank’s top armor thin enough that the cage armor would provide insufficient protection even if its triggers the main warhead from 0.5 to 1.5 meters away.

Yes but the Soviets had already attacked Finland. The Soviets were also allied with Hitler and had invaded Poland.
> Yes but the Soviets had already attacked Finland. <
That’s exactly right. Finland was actually one of the good guys in WW II (and that’s ironic, given that they were allied with the Germans).
But that’s not how the Soviets saw it. You see what you want to see, and the Soviets saw Finland as an example of how a small neighbor can cause big trouble.
Russians have sport model versions of their tanks? ;-D
Please define.
America ingested a cancer when the CIA organized the 2014 color revolution. On one hand, it turned Russia into an enemy, just as if China were on the Mexican border trying to flip Texas. But also, it corrupted the US body politic. Everything from Hillary's server, to the fake Steele Dossier, to Biden's corruption, to the impeachment of Trump had roots in Ukraine.
Nah, he’ll call a lid while the media smokescreens him with a new variant.
Team Russia… Ukraine is a hotbed of neo-Nazis and is an outpost for globalist scum like Soros, Obama, etc. Whatever side they’re on… I’m in the other. Russia is far from perfect, but they “enemy of my enemy is my friend” sorta thing. Oh, and maybe a bunch of the Ukrainian women will pour into the USA as refugees…
Or it might support it, given the fact that India is more than holding its own with China there.
LOL, Ukraine is such a hotbed of nazis that they elected a Jewish Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky. Get back to me when Russia elects a Jewish president, or for that matter has free and fair elections.
Ukraine Just Elected Its First Jewish President. Here’s Why It’s Not an Issue

Probably on orders from George Soros.
Putin could take out Brandon & the gang with 4 golf carts and a dozen drunk Russian poets.
Smoke show means she’s really hot or attractive.
I have also met a number of women from Ukraine. They were all quite attractive.
No, because the Chinese troops have been there for months and they are not having to pull back for lack of supplies…
Slang is used because it irritates old people who are too proud to ask what is meant or (in the modern age) are too dumb to Google/UrbanDictionary for a definition. :P
The former reason goes back literally thousands of years. :P
A dramatically different thing than sustaining an amphibious invasion of a well fortified island.
Or not, right?
Maybe it is used by young people yet to mature or learn their native language. ;-D
I heard that the Ukraine girls “really knock you out, they leave the west behind”...
