"Now as a strong, Christian woman who values faith deeply, I never want anything I say to offend someone's religion. So I told her that."
I detect some worrisome softness here. Omar is going to hell. Plain and simple. You might want to tell her that straight out, rather than worry too much about offending her.
Worst possible outcome: Boebert may decide to publicly apologize and go first with that, with the expectation that Omar will follow with her own apology. Which won't happen. Then Boebert will just be out there on stage, all alone, having admitted that she was wrong.
That would not be good. Let's avoid that softness. Let's condemn the things that need to be condemned.
“Now as a strong, Christian woman who values faith deeply, I never want anything I say to offend someone’s religion. So I told her that.”
Jesus valued the truth more than not offending anyone. His statements offended other people’s religion all the time. For example, if you say there is only one path to God, that is going to offend people. I would think a “strong, Christian” would know that.
