Everything I’ve read indicates high infection capability but statistically insignificant lethality.

We’re literally chasing and tracking the common cold at this point.

It would indeed. It will at least weeks until we definitively have complete information on its infectivity and virulence. If it turns out to also be usually mild to people with comorbidities, it would be a MASSIVE godsend.
