The incoming German leftist coalition government has vowed to increase immigration to Germany by allowing more migrants to bring family members to the country, a phenomenon known as chain migration.
The coalition plan between the Social Democrats (SPD) led by incoming Chancellor Olaf Sholz, the Free Femocrats (FPD), and the Greens will radically change Germany’s immigration policy, with the coalition parties agreeing to create more legal routes for migration in hopes of deterring illegal migration.
According to a report from the European Union-funded news website InfoMigrants, the new leftist coalition, nicknamed the “traffic light” coalition, will allow not only more recognized refugees to bring family members to Germany but will allow those with subsidiary protection — a lesser form of refugee status typically afforded to those in jeopardy of harm if the return to their country — to do the same.
Subsidiary protection makes up a large section of migrants who have been granted some form of residency in Germany, with figures from 2019, alone, showing that 19,419 people were given subsidiary protection compared to 45,053 who were granted refugee status that year.
The coalition has also agreed to make attempts to decrease asylum case waiting times, while at the same time claiming that they will work to ensure that those in Germany illegally are deported from the country.
Another expected major change in Germany’s migration policy is a proposal to create so-called “humanitarian corridors” for those fleeing their countries, such as Afghans fleeing the rule of the Taliban.
Some have claimed that as many as three million Afghan nationals may attempt to reach Europe in the near future after the fall of the country to the Taliban in August.

There is always ‘chatter’ like this. You’d have to pass something via the Bundestag and the Bundesrat (their form of a state assembly). States have a voice via the Bundesrat to say something critical or hinder. So it’s hard to see how they’d change much.
Add to it...in 2022, there are four state elections, and three in 2023. You don’t want to rekindle the anxiety that existed in 2016 and worry about election chaos.
Adding to this...about every four to six months...there’s another terror action to remind Germans of reality.
Kind of ironic how the “Green” party wants to encourage overpopulation from the Third World. Everyone knows how that will work out, especially for the Environment. Or maybe it was NEVER really about the Environment after all?? Hmmmm.........

No slight intended, but to this humble German observer, it seems that we, as conservatives all over the world, are all in this utterly horrible mess together....gloating does normally not lead to positive results.
