West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin has been a thorn in the side of President Joe Biden and his administration and now he is fighting against one of the first things the president did.

When Biden got into the White House, he ended the Keystone Pipeline and Sen. Manchin wants him to change his mind, The New York Post reported.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D‑WV) shrugged at the Biden administration’s release of 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve on Tuesday, describing it as a “Band-Aid” on a “self-inflicted wound” and calling on the president to revive the canceled Keystone XL pipeline.

Like that’s going to happen. Not to mention, I believe the Canadians have moved on and are no longer interested in the project.

No, when Brandon got into the White House, he got an ice cream cone and a diaper change for signing a paper that the newly-installed JoeLitburo wrote up for him to sign, ending the Keystone Pipeline.

Manchin and any Senator worth their salt should be telling Braindead to resign.

“Why is it a democrats is pleading with Biden on this and Republicans are just whistling past the graveyard?”

Because the Republicans aren’t wasting their time trying to deal with a White House that considers them sub-human.

So we’re just going to sit and take $6 /gallon gasoline and wait until 2022/2023 before Best case scenario we win the house back and can only then start negotiating with the minority libs?

The company that was building the pipeline has pulled out and is not going to restart the project. A new company would be required. To restart building the pipeline it would take a new contract (1 year minimum) and then at least another year (probably 5) to fight new lawsuits against restarting the project by the greenies. Also, the price would be far higher as the risk is now known to be much, much greater than before the pipeline was cancelled.

I guess, unless you can think of something.

Well I’m up here and haven’t heard anything. It might help to know how much has been built already. If the Canadian portion is finished then really all that is needed is the US work to be done. There is a lawsuit against the US government in the works of course for breach of contract and IIRC it was for about 15 billion.

C'mon, Joe. Do the right thing and flip the U.S. Senate.

There's no downside as you'll fit right in with much of the GOP leadership who excel at writing "strongly-worded letters" which they see as their "vital role" in defending our Republic against the Democrat/Communist Party onslaught.

who can blame them? The US can no longer be trusted to keep their word. They probably wasted a lot of money, time, resources on this project to have the rug pulled out from under them by Biden.
