He failed as a Senate candidate. He failed as a presidential candidate. Might as well go for the trifecta and fail as a gubernatorial candidate, too, right?
Well, let’s all pray that far-left radical Beto O’Rourke crashes and burns in his bid to succeed Greg Abbott as governor of Texas.
Because if the guy wins, the Lone Star state is in a world of hurt.

Texas Democrat Robert Francis O’Rourke, commonly referred to as “Beto,” told CNN during an interview on Sunday that he wants to pursue gun confiscation if he is elected to be the state’s next governor, and he refused to say that he wanted President Joe Biden to campaign for him in the state.
“Gun control, in particular, was your number one issue in your presidential campaign,” CNN host Dana Bash said in reference to O’Rourke’s failed campaign.
Bash then played a clip from one of the presidential debates where O’Rourke declared, “Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.”

That has to be the dumbest way to try to get elected in Texas.

Is it just me, or does seeing this guy make you want to pants him and dump his books?
Nightmare scenario: McConaughey sucks enough votes away from Abbott and beta pulls it off.
Thankfully the governor isn’t really very powerful in Texas. There’s really only a few things that TX can do on guns/safety. Namely outlawing Fed jurisdiction like is done in the pot states and full stand your ground like FL.
Just keep El Puta Politico O’Rourke talking .... he’ll sink his own boat quicker than a sick dog can eat it’s own vomit.
I suspect this as well. So much of his messaging seems aimed at wealthy doofus hipsters in Hollyweird and big tech, not at the concerns and problems of constituents in his own state.
That’s the beauty of Beta.
He incinerates campaign cash from Hollywood and NYC like nobody else.
Need to make sure he runs for “something” every two years.
