ACLU steps in after LGBTQ books pulled from Missouri schools

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union on Monday sent a letter demanding a Kansas City, Missouri school district return two LGBTQ-themed books to library shelves.

The North Kansas City School District pulled “All Boys Aren’t Blue” and “Fun House” from high schools this month in response to parent complaints.

The district is reviewing the titles, and the books are expected to be discussed during a Monday school board meeting.

In a letter to school officials, the ACLU of Missouri said removing the books violates students’ First Amendment rights by restricting their access to ideas.

“Students must be free to access library books—without discrimination or censorship—that are LGBTQ+ affirming as well as books that provide an inclusive and accurate history of racism,” ACLU of Missouri Executive Director Luz María Henríquez said in a statement.

Students also are petitioning to have the books returned.

“All Boys Aren’t Blue” is a coming-of-age memoir about the author’s experience as a queer, Black adolescent. “Fun House” is about the author’s relationship with her gay father.

Glue all pages together tight, glue the 2 books together, and put them back on the shelves. Eff you, ACLU scumbags.

As long as they are not moral Christian ideas, that is.

You Tube just plain censors.

This is a school library. They are suppose to censor.

Public libraries are not suppose to censor. But they do. Even have book burning. But the Anti-American Communists Lawyers Union (may they burn in hell) does not care about that.

What if they were books that rightly talked about the LGBT crowd as delusional freaks? Would the ACLU campaign to keep them in the library?

THEN let the parents of these student BUY THESE BOOKS FOR THEIR PREVERT KIDS.

I bought mine Bibles. Made sure they had Sunday School.

I carried a Bible to HS everyday, in the 60’s no less. Read it in Study Hall, after home work.

So ACLU, will you make the same argument when a school library excludes religious books? “White Supremacist” books? Ayn Rand books? Jordan Peterson books? I think you get the point.

“In a letter to school officials, the ACLU of Missouri said removing the books violates students’ First Amendment rights by restricting their access to ideas.”

Bullshit. School libraries make decisions rejecting books all the time. No student is guaranteed access to all ideas. In fact we have seen over and over how schools limit such exposure when it comes to things like opposition to gender ideology.

This is as asinine as demanding school libraries carry books with bomb building instructions and recipes for deriving ricin from castor beans. Or that student’s be allowed to view porn on school computers or visit NeoNazi websites. Those are ideas, right?

The ACLU is foul in their defence of those books. They are twisting the 1st Amendment to push perverse smut in schools. This is what the ACLU does today. They take the most extreme position to display their arrogantz toward what society considers decent. Just keep an eye on their stances on subjects and it will become apparent what I am saying. The ACLU no longer stands for what is right.

The ALCU never stood for what is right. They always stood up for murders and degenerates.

Virtually all public schools are simply bad places for your kids to be.

Bad, in so many ways.

If parents would take their kids out of the government schools, the system would die, which is what is necessary. Everything government runs turns to ... well, you know.
