Coming from a whole family of musicians and artists in Plymouth County, my entire Quadricentennial Celebration of the Pilgrims’ Landing in 1620 was completely ruined.

All our gigs were cancelled, all the restaurants in Plymouth were either closed or moved out to the sidewalk in freezing weather, all the exhibits closed, and all the celebrations (including those coordinated with the local Indian Tribes) were cancelled. Retail and Tourism tanked, and musicians were reduced to setting up on the beach and putting out a tip jar...just to survive.

The South Shore Music Community was devastated. But you don’t hear us whining. We just gathered wherever we could, taught lessons on ZOOM and You Tube, did online concerts on Face Book, and did whatever we could to survive. Some artists used the downtime as an opportunity to compose new music, and, slowly but surely, get gigging again.

But it ain’t 2020 anymore, and the next centennial won’t be for another 99 years.

Sad.

If the leftist white artists want to show they are truly sorry for the sins of all white people everywhere and forever they need to drink some kool aid.

They can help save the planet at the same time!

Note: Some sites you can delete the string on the end of the URL to prevent paywall from loading. Others (not all) you can copy/paste into OneNote.

This one was just the ‘campaign’ string. Good URL:

Its inartfully worded but - basically:

Old White leftist woman paints a picture depicting indian ghosts haunting the mayflower (because evil white man destroyed them!). She presents the picture at a meeting for the biennial where they had all decided they would show white man oppression and system racism to promote their Diversity, Inclusion and Equity valoos (DIE). White man on the board points out that white woman can’t portray white man crimes because she’s white and they really need to get an indian or black person to paint her same picture. White female board president immediately apologizes for offending BIPOCS at the meeting (really) promises to “do better” and blocks artist and the biennial presentation altogether until they can find some indian or black people to make art that demostrates white man’s oppression.

looney. Tunes.

I am sorry to hear that!

My cousin is a musician and piano tutor. He does a sizeable clientele, mostly kids as you can imagine. Our liberal area meant full compliance with this hysteria, such that most parents are terrified of being in person. He’s gotten more back since vaxes started, but still some quit and some insist on Zoom more than a year later (yes, he managed with Zoom at first). Like me (just tutoring), he cannot handle doing Zoom constantly so had to space them out, which meant fewer hours right there.

His church also went scared and he had to do Zoom music along with Zoom for everything else from the services. My cousin also lost some restaurant gigs he had, period, as they shut them down for months.

Ridiculous.

That is the worst written and most enjoyable article I've read in a long time. Everyone associated with article including the author is a waste of a human life. The article ends with an insulting dig at Trumpers. And the funny thing is Trumpers would not give this guy a second look.

As far as I stand, I would face 1,000 supporters of Trump rather than a room full of progressives in Northampton. "Then I let the world go a little closer."
