Cats especially don't like rats....
Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday of the year. The family, the food, & no ‘present pressure’ although we’ve done a lot to get rid of the present problem - only the little kids get them.
We had a full Thanksgiving last year (an 80 person wedding & normal Christmas, too - we did not pause our lives for COVID) and will have the same this year, with one exception. Yesterday, around 5 pm, we lost an elderly family member. He was 94, just missed 95 by a few days. Korean War vet, a grand old gentleman. His last couple of months have been tough on him and family - he went on hospice a week ago, so this was not unexpected. He was at Thanksgiving last year in his PJ bottoms and slippers .... enjoyed his Libby’s pumpkin pie. The day will be bittersweet without him, but he’s in a much better place.
My brother is going to try to smoke a 12 lb turkey breast - to deep fry it will cost $35-40 just for the oil! He smoked a smaller breast yesterday that we all ‘taste-tested’ and it was delicious. I have a 21 pounder that I’ll roast in a more traditional way so there will be plenty of turkey for everyone .... hope I can get it in the roaster pan!
Happy Thanksgiving to all .... life IS good, family is great, FR is awesome and I am grateful.
Thank you - Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours as well. ~Q
Love the picture!
Reminds me of many a year past.
The two 8X4 plywood sheets covered in table clothes for the table, the guests all squeezed together, the assortment of chairs, including the kid in the outdoors plastic Walmart chair, the husband and wife sharing the end of the table...
I saw that. I was expecting to see the Secret Service wrestle her to the ground!
Should have smacked Bidon in the beak
Great stuff you cant fool cats or kids!!
THank you.!
THanks,no matter how it happens putting family together is hard to beat.
Check out his map of "pickup sales states highest"...
Of course, those states have a lot of farms and ranches that NEED pickups.
Not everyone is a Prius driving metrosexual twit like you, Chuck!
Regarding the Gosar anime cartoon: i had to replay several times, and then frame by frame to find any images that could be construed as violence toward AOC (or Biden)
One image that apparently was deemed objectionable was a split second that showed Gosar and AOC sitting on a rooftop. Sitting as best i could tell. It was all a jumbled mess of images that depicted nothing, imho.
What a S - T - R - E - T - C - H.
Yes, Pelosi just did all this out of pure, spiteful politics.
Her time is coming!
He she is ranting on about Kyle Rittenhouse and the government oppression she thinks she’s going to bring down on him!

With Rush video telling the REAL story of Thanksfiving
Happy Thanksgiving to all FReepers. My hope is that Kyle is enjoying his freedom with family and friends. We dodged a bullet. I was not convinced he would be acquitted. What a pleasant surprise.
